Freezing Crowds on College Campuses

Where has FreezeCrowd been, where oh, where has it been?  This is a good question to ask…  Last month FreezeCrowd visited many college campuses across the United States to explain what it means to “FreezeCrowd” and that’s not all.   We let college students know that we will soon be breaking the ice on their college campuses.  Campuses such as Stanford, Miami, UCLA, USC, Utah, Boston University, MIT, University of Chicago, Northwestern, Harvard, Lehigh, Drexel, UPenn, and many more college campuses, if I missed a bunch out, don’t worry, I guarantee you’ll be welcomed on the site someday. We’ve been explaining FreezeCrowd, or at least the founder has been around the campuses when he’s not sprinting on his computer.

Here’s a typical story or reactions I get from a typical college campus:

So, what’s this FreezeCrowd?

Oh, I’ve seen it before, they do it on TV!

Really, so how is it different than that other social site?

I love Freezing Crowds, you know that video on YouTube…

Oh, I love your video, I’ve seen it!  That’s really you, great to meet you!

Well, here goes, and here are some answers to all of the questions and the myths that rack my brain, as well as yours.

I’ve yet to be on real TV for FreezeCrowd.  We should! :)

YouTube video, the only YouTube video I’ve personally done is that one where I shoot the basketball.  I did not do the Central Park “freeze” video or anything like that, however, I think that’s pretty cool.

Different than that other social site?

Sure, we “Freeze the Crowd” so that you can “Break the Ice” and that basically is a play on words from 3s a Crowd, and when you freeze something, you make it really cool, and then breaking the ice simply happens inside the crowd.

We then have some really cool stuff that happens next, and all it will take is a “Click to Freeze” once you’ve got a crowd of people together.  It will make sense, the next revolution in social networking will be “Clicking to Freeze” to “Break the Ice” and getting the people to take photos together.

The, “You really liked my video” question or comment!  Great, thank you!  It’s flattering when they think I did the “Central Park” video or some completely other video.  Simply amazing, just have to go with the flow on that one.

There goes, that’s what I’ve been up to, Freezing Crowds on campuses, working on establishing some sort of future awareness, working hard on some futuristic ideas, and then also trying to find a corporate sponsor someday…

I really do hope someone is reading this, yet even if you’re not, then as long as you can help spread the word, and follow us @freezecrowd we greatly appreciate your support with the big idea I came up with 11 years ago!

Thank you!
